Paste Visible Cells Only in Excel

In this Microsoft Excel tutorial, I will explain how to copy and paste or cut and paste visible cells, excluding hidden rows and columns.   Download the featured file here.

METHOD 1:

  1. Select all your data: select one cell in your data and use the shortcut key CTRL A
  2. Then use the shortcut key CTRL G to open the Go To dialog box
  3. Click the Special button
  4. In the Go To Special dialog box select the Visible cells only option
  5. Click OK to confirm
  6. Use the shortcut key CTRL C to copy
  7. Select a cell where you want to paste the data
  8. Use the ENTER key to paste

 

METHOD 2:

  1. Select all your data: select one cell in your data and use the shortcut key CTRL A
  2. Use the shortcut key ALT ; to select visible cells only
  3. Use the shortcut key CTRL C to copy
  4. Select a cell where you want to paste the data
  5. Use the ENTER key to paste
